\n Leverage adjustments may be applied during major economic announcements including:
\n \u2022 FOMC Interest Rate Decisions
\n \u2022 CPI (Consumer Price Index)
\n \u2022 GDP
\n \u2022 PMI \/ NMI
\n \u2022 PPI
\n \u2022 Retail Sales
\n \u2022 Non-Farm Payroll (NFP)
\n \u2022 ADP Employment Data
\n \u2022 Crude Oil Inventories
\n The above data is for reference only. Other significant macroeconomic releases from major economies may also be included.\n<\/p>\n
\n Temporary leverage adjustments apply during the following periods:
\n Economic News Period<\/strong>
\n \u2022 15 minutes before<\/strong> the announcement
\n \u2022 5 minutes after<\/strong> the announcement
\n Market Opening \/ Closing Period<\/strong>
\n \u2022 3 hours before the weekly market closing (Friday)<\/strong>
\n \u2022 30 minutes after market reopening (Monday)<\/strong>
\n \u2022 30 minutes before daily market closing (Monday \u2013 Thursday)<\/strong>
\n After the above period ends, leverage will automatically return to the original leverage.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u2022 The adjustment only affects new positions opened during the adjustment period.<\/strong>
\n \u2022 Positions opened before the adjustment period will not be affected.<\/strong>
\n \u2022 Once the adjustment period ends, original leverage will resume automatically.<\/strong>

\n Example 1 \u2013 Position Opened Before the Adjustment Period<\/strong>
\n A client opens a Gold position at $3,000<\/strong> before the news period.
\n Account leverage: 1:500<\/strong>
\n Margin required:
\n 3000 \u00d7 100 \u00f7 500 = $600<\/strong>
\n Since the position was opened before the news period<\/strong>, the leverage remains unchanged.
\n Example 2 \u2013 Position Opened During the News Period<\/strong>
\n A client opens a Gold position during the news period.
\n Leverage is temporarily reduced from 1:500 to 1:200<\/strong>
\n Margin required:
\n 3000 \u00d7 100 \u00f7 200 = $1500<\/strong>
\n Once the news period ends, the leverage setting will revert to the original level.
\n Example 3 \u2013 Product With Lower Default Leverage<\/strong>
\n A client trades an index product with leverage 1:20.<\/strong>
\n Since the leverage is already below 1:50<\/strong>, the news-period adjustment does not apply and margin requirements remain unchanged.\n<\/p>\n
